Equity in Athletics Data System

The Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act Data System is a Web-based system developed for the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education to provide data reported by nearly 2,000 colleges and universities in the United States that participate in the Federal student aid programs and have intercollegiate athletic programs. It was authorized by Congress with the 1998 amendments to the Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA) to make prospective students and prospective student athletes aware of an institution of higher education’s commitment to providing equitable athletic opportunities for its men and women students. Under the HEA, the Secretary of Education is required to collect financial and statistical information on men's and women's intercollegiate sports and make it available to the public.

The system provides statistics about participants, coaching staff and salaries, revenues and expenses, and student aid.
